"This is the single greatest house design I have ever seen. The care, knowledge and attention to detail of Ed and his practice is simply second to none. I would recommend working with them to anyone."
- Stephen Reidy, Client for the Offaly House
The Offaly House
Status: Planning permission granted 2023
On site: Q1 2024
Location: London Borough of Richmond
Designed to engage with a sprawling flat site soon to be restored with native trees. Conceived of as a retreat, a place of the landscape to allow the clients to live central to their farm emersed in nature.
The design itself was developed as a series of interconnected spaces. Where the primary functions of the house, rooms for sleeping , gathering, retreat and utility are shuffled to offer moments of exchange between resident and the land.
A pared-back material palette and meticulously placed openings frame courtyards, thresholds, and captivating vistas of the site, inviting moments of peaceful contemplation and a soothing back drop to rural family life.
